I live in Croydon, PA. It’s in Lower Bucks County and considered very working class. It’s always had a stigma attached to it but I have no complaints. A number of individuals are in various forms of the labor industry. It snowed today, slows down the process and people are home without pay for the day.
I hate doing dishes and I’m not very good at putting them away when dry.
Heading up to the gallery today and swung through Delaware Canal State Park. At least one of the entrances. Winter is really coming in like lion as we wait for the winter storm (as I write this it started to snow). It just looks and feels……. raw……cold…..
There’s no escaping them. They’re everywhere here. The township’s (or county)idea of filling them is dumping relatively loose asphalt into the hole as it just spreads all over the road anyway. These will claim your rim and maybe cause a sinkhole.
It’s Fat Tuesday…. need I say more?
Sometimes an iPhone will have to do. I question Walmart’s lack of concern for appearance and their customers just throwing items in the floor. Note: the retail in me picked the shirt up.
Landscape photography is not a go-to subject for me. More urbanscape I would say. I’m not far out of from Northeast Philadelphia. I like to photograph trains, tracks, the stations, etc. I guess it reminds of travel and escape. This is the stop at Holmesberg the neighborhood. There’s a closed prison nearby that once let photographers go in do shoot but that’s not longer and option. It’s a shame really.
Another one bites the dust on State Road….
I’m a gallery administrator at New Hope Arts in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The town is very seasonal, meaning the cold months keep people indoors. Some years for small business is tougher than others and all of us hope for that upswing in business when the warmer months come. I’m hearing this year has been tougher than in the past.
Yes, I missed a day. Today was a giving kinda day….
I wanted to experiment with photograms in the darkroom. A few pieces of lace and materials….. and viola! The color gradient I added later. Not too shabby a still life.
Maybe it’s time to clean up this area….
I’m designing Wearable arts featuring the dolls….. and we had a quick shoot.
It rained again…. it seems to always rain anymore…
It’s that time of year as the rain brings in ants….
As many hope the seasons are right around the corner.
Is that Spring? Peaking around that corner? As the truck stands alone…..
I stopped out to buy jeans and saw this store was finally closed… Many memories of many outfits purchased to go out the bars. I will miss you so.
I think all of us remember this more. Today, I had to return said jeans purchased and saw the very end of Payless Shoesource. Many, many knock-off Keds purchased to only be ruined during the summers…. Another childhood mall store lost to big Internet.
Peaceful early sunsets.
The Croydon train station… takes you as far north as Trenton NJ (I think)… I need to hop it and GO!
It’s what’s revealed when the tide is low.
No ad….. no biz….
Everyone is on the go….
It could be a home for someone…..
That face when you find out you’re going to White Castle.
Even on a Sunday….
I feel I’m always in the presence of trucks…..
And it has a crack in the handle.
Still life props in the making…..
And the store fronts continue to decay….
The tide was low again at sunset….
Eveyday I drive by this building and wonder how (or why) these door are build that way.
No description needed….
Getting set before the storms roll in….
The Berkley Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ…. Historical and a little ‘The Shining’ inspired….
Happy Easter on this beautiful Sunday!
The cross at the Bristol Boro Waterfront….
